The Merseyside club have long since struggled to attract the kind of support that is required to climb the non-league pyramid, posting three figure crowds on only three occasions in the league last season with the visitors of Newcastle Town, Silsden and a season-high 151 against Runcorn Linnets; the club's smallest attendance of the season seeing just 23 spectators witness the home game with Nelson, bringing an overall average attendance of just 72 supporters last season.
Although a midweek fixture will probably mean there won't be the same number of Leigh Genesis supporters visiting Altcar Road as have been present at both the Atherton Collieries and Warrington Town fixtures, a decent number are expected to attend and provide a much needed boost to Formby's coffers.
Steve Bleasdale's only injury doubt surrounds former Bury and Nuneaton Borough striker Jordan Stepien, who is yet to make his Leigh Genesis debut because of a recent hamstring strain.
With a large squad to choose from and a pressing schedule this week, rotation will be the key as Bleasdale looks to give the majority of his squad a valuable run out as preparations continue ahead of his side's UniBond Premier League campaign.
Supporters wishing to attend the fixture will have to pay £4 admission for adults, £2 for concessions, with Altcar Road situated close to the A565 (Formby bypass), which can be reached via the M58, A5036 and then A5207, with the ground situated close to a Tesco superstore.
Kick off at Altcar Road is at 7:30pm on Tuesday evening.
